Awesome!

First of all, where'd the intro vocals come from?

Now to the review:

- The synths sound kinda dry :/ not all dancey and handsup-ish. Maybe layer some more with them? I always have that problem with my music too :(
- Kick isn't blasting enough! Add some more high frequencies to it! Maybe layer it with a ride cymbal.
- IMO, there's too much sidechaining. Adjust that a little bit to make it less noticeable.
- I don't really like the bass you're using, it's really kinda "donk" ish, and not.....fuck, i dunno :P
- Melodies are awsome though! Great work with those!

5/5'd! If you have some time, can you review my latest songs? That'd be awesome! :D

Rukkus responds:

The vocals came from a vengeance sounds pack that i downloaded. I sliced them into smaller sections to get the studder effects. I'll try to make the synth sound more wet and flowing and hopefully i can pump the bass kicks a little more. Thanks alot for the good review man.

Pretty good!

Kind of weird progression for a trance song....I'm pretty sure this isn't actually trance. Oh well, whatever.

I didn't like how it built up to...silence....at about 0:37. Sounded kinda weird.

I didn't like the close hihat you were using, it sounded too short and crisp. Maybe add a TINY amount of reverb to it or something? And lower its high freq's by a tiny amount?

Kick sounded kinda weak too, try adding a multiband comperssor and fooling around with it. Or add another sample to the kick and layer them. OR do both of those things :P

Sounding good though, nice and chill. Keep it up!

If you have a second, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

everybody4somebody responds:

thanks for the constructive review :D first one i've gotten on this site.

i wasn't really sure what genre to call it either so i just winged it :P i'm planning on trancing it out a bit more.

the silence has thrown a few pplz so i might change that.

the hat was just a drum machine hat and it actually has a bit of reveerb on it it's just quiet. i don't really like it all that much so it's gonna go

the kick was also a drum machine kick and i'll change them both as i tweak the song.

thanks for the review :)

Percussion is awesome!

That being said....I HATE the kick :P
It sounds kinda floppy and loose....lmfao. It doesn't sound powerful at all.

This song is fucking cool though, nice combination of orchestral and electronica; it sounds really epic! The buildup was really awesome, nice work :D Only thing I didn't like, was that the climax of the song wasn't....climax-y enough? It sounded kinda empty for my liking.

Other than that, it was great! Keep it up!

If you have a second, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

p4c responds:

haha i thought that kick was pretty damn strong. maybe it doesnt work so well on other soundsystems? im listening to it with a fat ass woofer so maybe i can layer it with other stuff to make it stronger. it was worth a shot i guess hahaha

ill check it out in a sec.

Was the piano recorded?

This sounds pretty cool, nice and chilled/relaxed!

Good choice of instruments, and great melody work. One thing that bugged me, and it's super small, is the length of the cymbal crashes :P Maybe add some reeverb to them to drag them out a bit more?

Good song! Sounds like videogame music :)

If you have a second, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

LucasTret responds:

That piano is from a VST called "Pianissimo", which is extremely cool.

Thanks for the review. I'll see what can I do with the crashes.

So good, keep it up! Guitar work is phenomenal.
Only comment is that the lead guitar may be a TINY amount too loud. Not 100% positive on that, but I think it is.
What program do you use? Any chance you'd ever be up for a sort of synth-rock collab ever?

If you have a chance, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

Stage3-1 responds:

Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't very satisfied with how the mixing and mastering turned out. I ended up losing a track and had to do some mashing to get it together. I use Cool Edit Pro 2.1, I guess it's Adobe Audition now.

You have no idea. I definitely want to have a collab on the next CD. I've initiated a couple before but they never were finished. The only problem is I won't be able to start for another 2 years... Seriously though, if you are down I'll contact you in two years and we can work something out. I'll go check out your stuff right now. Thanks for the review.

Awesome!

I haven't ever really heard a good Happy Hardcore track on NG before, great work!

I think the whole track could use some more bass though: the kick and bass especially seem to be lacking.

Melodies are absolutely epic though, keep it up!

If you have a chance, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

Hellstick responds:

The kick and bass sounds fine on my speakers:S Try turning up the bass if you have subwoofers:P
Nah, what's bugging me is the soundquality... I really need to get a better music making software-.-
Thanks for the awesome review though:)

Awesome!

I REALLY liked the breakbeat stuff, very handsup-ish.

I think the kick and bass (in the main part of the track) could've been a LOT more powerful. Try fooling around with the Multiband Compressor (if you use FLStudio) to get them to "pop" more and take over the track.

Great melody work in this one! Keep it up!

Mr-green-apple responds:

im not a big fan of the multi band compressor...i usually use something else but i usually end up making the drums to powerful. thx for stoppin by tho

I liked it!

Nice and relaxed, great work!

Calamaistr responds:

Glad you did. :)

It was sounding good...

....until the synth at 0:19 came in. I didn't like that synth at all :S

Then it went away, and I liked it again :)

Anyways, musically this song is great, good work with melodies and rhythms. IMO, it's lacking in the "humanizing" aspect though (as in, making it sound like real people are playing it). You can fix this by adding accents, slight delays to percussion, volume swells, etc. Anything to make it sound more "real".

Good work though, pretty enjoyable!

If you have a second, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)

Calamaistr responds:

I cant really add accents even if i wanted to since this track is not made in fl. thus having to edit it then reconvert it and reupload it would take alot of work, alot more than i can stand. Especially the converting part is a pain. (lots of wiring in my house because of it ;( )
However i will sometime be making remakes of my old tracks and i will do so with fl.

And eh, i reviewed your latest track for you. Np.

Nice!

The song is kinda plain, maybe add some pads or strings to tie it all together?
And maybe some more variation in the drums/melodies?

Pretty good though, keep it up!

If you have a second, could you review my latest track? That'd be awesome, thanks! :)
